Anyone use the SG access bag? How do you like it?

Solid gear. You will see a lot of the hunting crowd using it.

Packs are in the same league as Kifaru but lighter weight and obviously less rugged but just as well designed.

Their clothing would be competitive against someone like Sitka or Kuiu.

I think the access bag is a must have depending on how you pack your gear. My first hunt with an SG Sky Talus I didn't have it and with meat, horns and cape strapped down tight, I found it difficult to get to my fleece cap, hoodie, puffy or other clothing as it was necessary to unbuckle straps when I stopped for a break and got cold and wanted warmer clothing. The access bag remedies this problem as there are no straps going over the outside of it. It also provides some protection for t he tripod and is pretty handy to use with just the frame when shuttling loads off the mountain and still allows you to have some essentials with you. Now that I use a Sky Guide pack I haven't purchased a second access bag due to the horseshoe zip on the front but I probably will before next season.

I like mine a lot. Great to throw higher priority items in there so you do not have to go digging through your pack to grab something. Also if you want to drop weight you can use only that as a day pack connected to the frame and it is enough space for me to fit some food & spare water, first aid kit, rain jacket and kill kit.

Just purchased one on the classies and I think it will work out great. Do not see any downside to it.

I use the Serac1700 for the same purpose as this bag. Plus is that after packing in you can swap it with your big bag and use it as a smaller day pack. Minus is that it is quite a bit more expensive. Regardless I like the concept. I usually put food in mine for the pack in.
