Hey all, I have a tikka I want to put a stockys on. It’s a T3X with the standard stainless barrel. I’ve read that it requires so fit and finish work. Anyone have any experience with that? Or online guides or videos? I’ve looked on finding one without luck. I’m decently mechanically inclined but I don’t want to get into a huge project either to make it fit.

Plug and play...Get it with the Alpine or m24 contour. Use 320grit sandpaper to go over the carbon shell inletting to get rid of sharp edges

I’ve had 4 personally none I would call a “big project” aside from bedding the recoil lug, maybe some minor sanding to get clearance for the barrel channel.

Yeah, I’ve had two. Minor fitting if any. You can do it all with sand paper and a dowel if anything is needed. I think they sometimes benefit from bedding, but thats also a pretty easy project that really doesnt take much if you are diligent with your prep.

For the price, I’m very happy with mine. I ordered the d18/roughtech barrel channel for a factory fluted superlight. Plenty of clearance in the barrel channel. Probably not necessary to order it with a larger channel, but it’s not unsightly and I don’t have to worry about it. Overall, the action is fairly tight fitting, but what man would want it looser? ….. back on topic- I did put a talon grip sheet over the palm swell, just to give a bit more grip over the painted surface.
