I'll bump this again just because this is a great price for the stock. I bought two factory seconds a few weeks ago, for short actions with heavy sporter barrels. This stock fits them well and will work with the sporter barrels or the heavy barrels, and the gaps won't be too unsightly. I'm satisfied with mine. Mine, with heavy sporter barrels and short actions, are both around 6.6lbs without scopes. There's not really any way to make a Savage sporter rifle any lighter than using one of these stocks.

Thanks Kyguy. I sold the gun to my brother, but with this stock and the barrel I also have for sale the gun was like 6.5lbs with a big heavy trijicon on it. Still shot well too.
