I think their vg Hunter is like 32oz. I asked Jake about rokstock options but apparently they had issues with the short action mold and havent revisited. I'd buy a rokstock for my win 70 sa if they had them.

Well not quite as light as I would like at 32oz., but I ended up ordering one for my M70. Thank you for letting me know they had those, I didn't realize that as I was only in their lightweight stock area of which they don't have M70.

But if @Stockys if you end up making a lighter weight stock for the M70, I would still be interested in purchasing one. I can always off load this one I just backordered from you.

And for that matter @Stockys if you decide to make a lightweight carbon fiber stock for Ruger M77 actions I have about 2 that I would upgrade from the stock Ruger polymer over time.

Sanded with 600 grit wet/dry then painted with Krylon Fusion Matte Deep Gray & White followed by eight light coats of clear.

So yeah, every body seems to want a shorter magazine and there seems to be a few who have tried to make flush bottom metal but I've only found one reference to cutting a magazine down and that was on the 6.5Grendal forum, which I seem to no longer be a member of or able to join again.

So I decided to make a go of it and started with one of the factory 10 round .223 magazines:

First I disassembled the magazine which is particularly easy on these magazines:

If the stock you ordered is in stock(they had seconds sitting there) they ship pretty fast in my experience. If you ordered a stock that was back ordered (they have no seconds sitting there) you will wait until they have a reject available to ship.

Yes, It's just a stock magazine cut down. The thread linked below details it and I added some pictures with measurements there and tips for the new mag release design.

How is it?

It’s ok. Way better shape than the factory stock. Great at the sale price. I wouldn’t be happy at full price. Mine came in at 22oz instead of 19oz.
A little rough around the tang and ejection port areas. Looks nice overall. Pretty slick with zero texture. I’m definitely happy overall, especially for what I paid.
