My biggest issue is that I start moving too fast, I feel like I always have to see over the next ridge or behind the next bush. I can hear my dad telling me to slow down lol
There are two things I can add to the thread. First, to still hunt in poor weather. Wind, rain, drizzle, and snow will help you. Use anything that dulls or interferes with their senses to your advantage. The second thing is to move slower. Stop every step. Look carefully at everything. The moving animals will present themselves. You’re looking for parts of standing or bedded game. A leg, ear, eyeball, tail, line of belly or back, or an antler point. Look very small. By the time you are close enough to see a whole animal, you’re too close. You’ll be busted before you shoot.
If you take more than 3 -5 steps at a time you are moving too fast. If you walk as if you are trying to be quiet, you sound exactly like a human trying to be quiet.
