This is completely subjective. There are those that sleep half the day away (nappers), and those that don’t. I’m in the latter group. I sleep at night when hunting (I work nights so I normally sleep during the day). I don’t take naps.

Over the last 25 years, I’ve killed elk at nearly every hour between dawn and dusk (all archery). They’re on the move before 0900 and after 1730. In between, you have to know where they bed. Don’t push them out of bed, but they’ll bed near water and get up for a drink or a bite all through the day.

It's easy for me as I already don't get enough sleep. I'm up at 11pm for work 7 days a week and work a 12 hour day Monday- Friday and a 10 hour Saturday and a 11 hour Sunday. From the time I get home usually around 1 in the afternoon I'm awake for approximately 4or5 hours then sleep for 4/5 hours then back to work . It sucks to go to work come home and go to work all in the same day but the pay is stupid ridiculous. Hunting is tough as I've got to flip my sleep and awake time . It usually takes a day or two to adjust then a day or two back to normal. Once I'm adjusted to time it's no big deal . Elk hunts can be tough as it's common for someone to shoot at dark and then with recovery and skin out you might get a hour or two before your up to hunt again.

I bring instant coffee for after my mid day nap. Also just carrying camp makes sense usually
