Steiner Predator 10x42 LRF

I would like to get a rangefinder and I know I will need binoculars down the road, so I figured combining would make sense? Currently, I hunt whitetail in various areas throughout the US, but would like to plan an Elk trip in the next year or two. Anyone have experience with these, or any reason to shy away from rangefinder binoculars in general? Thanks
