A little sidetrack from the usual variety of boots discussed here, but has anyone had some safety toe boots they've had good results with? Currently in a pair of 8" Danner Vicious NMTs, and while they fit me like a glove (like damn near everything else of theirs I've tried), the thick ceramic safety toe eats into the toebox real estate quite a bit. Wasn't enough to note in the store, but a nice pair of thick bootsocks and a long day on my feet and I can barely pick my toes up off the footbed. Non-metallic toe is nice when it's cold out, but being in SE Texas and the GoM for work, that's very much the exception rather than the rule.

I’ve used Wolverine steel toe boots for years. I usually replace them every 12-16 months. The durashock soles are nice and they hold up well for my use. Most of the time I am either on concrete floors , steel grating, or solid / flat dirt. I have tried Redwing and Georgia Boots and prefer the Wolverines

On my 3rd pair of Thorogoods. Will be buying a 4th soon. Most comfortable work boots I've found. The round toe has more toe room than the moccasin toe.
