S8,
my take....there are many good bows out there....and the bow and accessories are less important than your shooting form and tuning skills. Sure its nice to have good top of the line equipment but in reality, skills are more important.

Starting on a index trigger release makes it easy.....but is the road to bad habits in the future if you don't practice proper back tension.

I would recommend finding a qualified coach...as the time/money spent there is a great investment and can save you a lot of time dealing with bad habits. I would allot some of your equipment budget to coaching.

Carbon Air is a fantastic bow. It is what I shoot, but like others have said get out there and shoot a lot of bows. The bow will pick you in most situations. You know when you found the one it just feels awesome as if an extension of your body. good luck.

I would like to try hunting with bow too just like how our ancestors do it. However, some hunting place don't allow it for some reasons and it's quite frustrating. Maybe we could still found such places that allow it. Right now, archery lessons is the best way for me to begin.
