Oh, and on the KUIU stuff, you can skip the rain gear (Chugach) and softshell (Guide) if you just buy a Yukon jacket the first go around. If there has ever been one jacket that can do it all out West, it is the Yukon. I have all three and use all three, but if you only want to buy one, the Yukon is the one.

^^ What he said. I also like to run a Guide Vest....I wear one probably 75% of time, but then again I don't have much body blubber and I always tend to be on the cool side.
 
Welcome To the forum. My best advise is don't spend all your money on gear. Hunting liscenses are expensive. You're not going to get a wrong answer on gear here but you can get caught up in the infatuation quickly. Doesn't matter how high end the gear is if you don't have a tag in your pocket.

you two tossed up good advice. i am heading to the store this upcoming week...great info to know!

as far as the original poster..are we talking bowhunting or rifle hunting. i'm not sure i would even buy camo if i hunted with a rifle. my pants would be solids.

man..i couldnt imagine the price tag if you had to jump in fast to get ready for a hunt..geesh!
