Starting a high school/middle school archery club?

Good afternoon all,
I have been approached by numerous people in our community about starting a school archery team at the local high school and middle school. I would love to head the big project of getting our local kids involved in archery and starting a club sport at the school in town. There are surrounding towns with outstanding participation in their archery programs so I have reason to believe ours would do the same. Has anyone on here help setup a youth archery program? Would love to get some help from people that have assisted in this type of project. I am planning on meeting with the principal and superintendent relatively soon, just trying to get some ideas to bring to them for funding of equipment, space, etc. Thank you!

I was part of youth program at previous club. Keep it fun and they will come. (If you can get a local grocery/bakery to supply donuts that helps also!)

I have been looking at NASP a little bit. Definitely helpful, thanks! The donuts made me even more intrigued!!
