Looks like Stan is releasing a new version of the solex with a click.

I was looking to pick up a solex to go back to an index release after a season trying out a thumb button. Just curious what everyone’s opinion on the click is. I have done Shot IQ and struggled with target panic in the past and I know Joel likes a click. What do you guys think, click or no click.
I will be getting one to try. The onnex click is a great release, but I prefer index releases
Edit… have one ordered, I feel like I showed some self control waiting a solid 3 minutes after learning it existed 😏

I switched to the Scott verge when it came out a couple years ago it a two finger index with a click. Don’t get me wrong I can still and do still punch it on occasion but when I settle down my process it’s a drastic improvement. I went for most of my archery life never with a hint of tp then I got diagnosed with MS so mentally or physically or a bit of both I started to punch everything I owned or bought hand held, index, back tension, hell even resistance releases. The index click works for me I can be shaky and set it a bit stiff get into the click and just keep pulling through unless I tremor real bad but even then it usually is after the click. I wondered why more companies did not follow Scott in the design I might pick up a solex to play with just to compare.

My release finally arrived, the click (at least on mine) is subtle compared to a hinge or onnex click, you can feel it, but don’t know that you could hear it… that may be good for those worried about it spooking critters at close range, and I think it’s enough to pick up on even in the heat of the moment

I have mine set about as heavy as I can get it, and it gets pretty heavy, maybe even heavier than my like Mike 2.

I expect to be ordering a second pretty soon, but after the xtinction 2, it will take some more time before I fully trust the sole x, but I’m hoping it stays reliable because it’s a nice little release
