Stalker Stickbows????

BHC,
More on Short bow vs long;

Do you shoot 3 under?
Do you notice the string pinch?
From your comments, it seems that your accuracy isn't affected when going short, is that fair to say?

Personally I haven't shot a short bow in a long time....I'm curious....

3 under, string pinch isn’t a thing for me really since my draw length is so short. My 52 pika had more string pinch then this 56 recurve.

Accuracy wise I shoot my 56 inch bows just as good as I’ve shot 60-62 inch bows out to normal trad ranges, 30-40 yards for the way I hunt.

Finally found some time to chrono it. 52lb at 25 inch draw, 465 grain arrow is what the new build finished out too.

25 yards with a vpa 3 blade, vpa 2 blade, one fletched, and 2 bareshafts. She’s ready to rock and roll!

Might try to take one of the girls on a scouting / squirrel trip this week. Looks for some sheds, last years sign, and shoot some squirrels or at least stump shoot with the old girl!

I’m shootimg the 19” Apex ILF riser with Dryad LBX longbow limbs this year. I wanted to test a longbow with a long riser and boy I am glad I did. Very forgiving setup. 53# at my DL. It’s more smooth than my buddies 45lb bow. Have a 30 yard point on, 510 grain arrow at 160 fps. It’s a fantastic shooting bow!

Good looking bow. South builds beautiful bows that shoot amazing.
Ya I’m a fanboy of his bow, all I own these days. I was shooting it tonight. Arrows with vanes off the shelf out to 40 yards. First time I’ve had a tune good enough to shoot vanes off the shelf along side feathers. I love this thing. He’s built me half a dozen bows but this is hands down my all time favorite.

Nice looking rig. What’s the specs on it? South makes good bows, my Coyote has been my primary for the past two seasons. I am getting my shoulder worked on and waiting on some “rehab” limbs from South so I can keep shooting it until I heal up.

56 inch coyote. 52lb at 25 inches for my draw length. Figured English walnut riser and limbs with stabilized buckeye Burl on the riser and limbs as well.

I have a pair of 60 acs longbow limbs for it as well, 59 lb at 28. Prototype that I tested for him before they got released. Killed a pile of critters with it, but wanted a shorter recurve since my draw length is short, and I prefer a smaller bow overall.
