Would a hunter want to have stalking footwear elk hunting? Links to other post are welcome, sorry if it’s a repeat.

In 2016 my hunting partner and I used the rimrock stalkers to sneak to 27 yards on this bedded bull. It was middle of the day and we had the wind in our favor. I supposed we could have tried calling him in but we were on top of him in about 30 minutes after spotting him from a 1/2 miles away...

I hunted a unit in NM that really open, first week of the sept didnt have anything in the way of rutting. I was glad i had my vibram 5 fingers with me, made for easier stalking.

For archery season here in Colorado I just wear my saloman's. They are super light weight and comfy to wear specially hiking back in 4-5 miles. I've never really had to worry about noise while I'm walking. It's more about wind than anything.

I carry an extra set of insoles and thick socks, slip my boots off, put on the insoles and socks and sneak on in.

That is an impressive photo and stalk. Wow. Looking at the ground cover I am surprised you could get that close. That really sells me on the Rimrok Stalkers. I have tried the Sneak-tec boot sole covers and yes they were really quiet, but they also were slippery and difficult to get on and off. Thank you for sharing your experience. It seems I cannot find enough 2nd hand information regarding the Rimroks.
