I am wondering if anyone out there has used StaBall HD, or any of the StaBall variants for that matter? Please share if you have. Curious if they are indeed temperature insensitive. What velocity’s are you getting?

Put it in a 7-300 norma and it matched RL33 for speed and was slightly slower than N570 in that case anyways.

I appreciate the info. I am looking at possibly using HD in a 264 win pushing 156gr pills. I cant find any of the other recommended slow burning powder such as 570, RL33, Retumbo. I was hoping this could be an option. However, I’m worried about the ball powder and temp stability.

6.5 Staball has been great in my 6.5CM with 140gr match burners and my 7-08 with 140gr vldh. Don’t have my notes in front of me for speed but accuracy has been awesome.

I haven't found a Hammer bullet yet that isn't stupid accurate
I’ve found one. The 116 grain, 25 caliber hammer hunters will absolutely not shoot past a hundred out of my 25-06, and I spent $1000 rebarreling it with an 8 twist that Steve says is fast enough. After 50 some rounds, I’ve given up on em’. It’ll shoot the 98 and 104’s fine, but that’s not what I built the rifle for. It’ll shoot 115 grain nosler ballistic tips into 3/4” @ 200, so it’s definitely not the rifle or the shooter.

I'm going to be grabbing a lb of the Staball HD when I find some locally to try in my 7mm Rem Mag with ~160gr bullets. The load data looks to have some impressive velocity numbers. Very interested in people's experience as well!

I have used Staball Match in .223(77gr), .224 Valkyrie (80gr), and .308(175gr), and it has been pretty darn good, reminds me of a cleaner, temp stable AA2520.
