SRS optic pic rail

Mounted my SRS tikka optic pic rail. Noticed the screw furthest forward seems to be protruding into the lug recess. Torqued to spec, used included screws. I don't feel any binding when running the bolt and there is no mark on the bolt lugs. Anyone else notice this or think might be a problem? Also, how do you guys secure the recoil pins? They have pretty snug interference fit but wasn't sure if y'all glue or fingernail polish them in or something like that.

Definitely can cause issues, I had a light strike issue that turned out to be a screw poking into the action exactly like that. I would just shorten the screw a bit so it doesn't protrude.

Idk about yours, but the recoil pins in mine are super tight... had to tap them into place. They are definitely not coming out unless you want them to but a little nail polish wouldn't hurt.

Apologies for the click-baity thread title. Running into an issue with a Tikka that won't go bang. I need help and thought I'd see if anyone here can provide insight. I've included as much detail as I can (even a few things that are likely irrelevant).

I purchased a Tikka T3 SS chambered in 270 Winchester from the used gun inventory on Cabelas.com.

When it arrived, I did not test fire it. I immediately pulled the barrel and replaced it with a stainless factory barrel from a T3x chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I torqued the barrel at 75 ft/lbs and checked headspace with a sized case and piece...

I’ll shorten that screw. Thanks for heads up. I agree on recoil pin it was pretty snug and unlikely to get lost but I may put a dab on top for peace of mind
