I had a well put in a few years ago. It’s only using watering the lawn. Sprinklers from local hardware store etc. would clog up after a month or so from sand. I purchased some big commercial grade ones and never had any problems. I am looking at putting in a sprinkler system. Wondering what guys with experience recommend for a filter? I see cheaper spin of filters up to $700 plus filter systems.

Have you performed a good flush on all the lateral lines? plugging a few heads and flushing through the others to get the velocity up might not hurt.
Is the sand excessive? Some entrainment from the well isnt abnormal, but it should be minimal. Could be some damage in the well screen maybe? just thinkin.....

I run my irrigation off of a canal that is absolutely loaded with moss, grass, weeds, etc. I have a 2" action machining inline filter. Later in the summer months, I have to shut the pump down twice a day to clean the internal stainless element. It's easy enough to do. For the minimal amount of debris that should be coming out of a well, I would think that would be enough.
