What are people’s thoughts on the XD line of pistols? I was looking at what appears to be their base model at Sportsman’s Warehouse the other day. I liked the fiber optic front sight. The grip safety doesn’t seem good or bad to me. The trigger seemed like any other striker fired trigger. The price seemed good at $300.

I’ve read a lot about these over the years, but I’d like to hear more about them from people who have put a lot of rounds through them.

I have owned a few of them. They are solid and reliable. I personally don’t love grip safeties, but nothing wrong with them. I have traditionally been a glock guy, but have really been likeing smith and wesson M&Ps. If you want to conceal carry, the shield and shield 2.0 are pretty awesome. You can pick them up on gunbroker for around $300.
