Who is getting ready for Bear in the spring? I may not be able to Bow hunt Elk very much in September due to a scheduled event I cannot change! So Spring bear may be my big hunt. Where do you guys hunt? I am hoping my points is enough to get me Wenaha or Snake in NE Oregon. I am considering doing Idaho as well.

i love spring bear hunting. that being said i probably wont get the opportunity to do it here in Washington for a few years. the unit i normally put in for is a draw every other year with good odds of drawing with no points. but ive decided to start putting in for blues tags and that's going to take me a few years to draw (drew last year so no points). i will however try and weasel my way onto a spring bear hunt here in my back yard. its almost a sure thing ill know someone who will draw a tag. im also putting serious thought into a POW trip if i can talk my hunting partners in to it. would be a pretty fun and not real expensive hunt.

I wish we had bears to hunt here in NV. We have one little corner of the Sierra Nevadas and that's it so there's hardly any tags to be had. Kind of weird how all of the surrounding states have them except us.

I'll likely do an Idaho trip again this year. Might just do it with a rifle though. Baiting was a ton of work!!

This is one hunt I'm really going to try to do in 2014. Never killed a bear and definitely need to notch that on the kill list

Hunting the snake for spring bears is one of my favorite hunts (pic below)!!!! Just wish we had spring hunts here in CA.

Have plenty of points for the Utah draw but don't really know how its done and would hate to piss them all away. Still have time to decide until the draw

I think I am applying for the Wenaha for my first hunt and snake for second. I have a buddy who wants to float down the grande Ronde in Wenaha.

I'm going to hunt with a Mississippi buddy this spring for some spot and stalk hunting along the Salmon River in central Idaho. Should be a fun time!

Ill likely be hunting the bitterroot in MT.

You're crazy not to just go a bit further west and bait across the border in Idaho...

I will be hunting in AK and I cannot wait for spring to get here. They only issue us three tags a piece though, so that's a bummer :)

I'll be hunting western Montana around the Phillipsburg area most likely. I love getting out in the spring, hiking, and maybe finding a shed antler or two. Speaking of sheds I went out coyote/wolf hunting this morning and called at a couple good spots but saw nothing. Did come across 120 plus head of elk with several smaller bulls in the bunch. That was pretty neat and a couple of the 5 point bulls were sparing with each other for a bit.

I'd really like to call a bear in with my predator call. I think that would be a great way to take a bear. I'll keep trying but I have not succeeded at it yet!!
