Scenario is, I'll be hunting Elk and Mule deer 3rd rifle in CO. Already own a good pair of 10x binos. In addition to those what would you rather bring, 15X56 binos or 20x60 spotting scope? Assuming you have a tripod for either. Ill be basecamp at a cabin 2 miles from hunting and traveling out and back
daily with Quad and shoe leather, got a good pack and not afraid to use it!
Thanks in advance.

Best answer I have is, I dunno! 7-8k drainages? If the weather has pushed them there, if not well be going up
The question might be how far can I go and bring back game effectively.
That might answer the initial question right there. Do I really need to see 5 miles if I cant get there and back.

I've asked myself the same question many times over the years while using a 65mm 20-60x spotting scope. The thing that always keeps me coming back to the scope is the zoom. I use the higher magnification often and can't imagine being limited to just 15x.
