Spotting scope or closeup camera?

Has anyone found a decent solution for a close up camera can be viewed real time on another screen or your phone? Trying to determine if it is better to just get a spotting scope or a camera setup. It would make a tall target test and other such longer shot placements easier to see. And if the scope is the answer, what’s the best for the budget conscience shooter? Appreciate any pointers.

At what distance? The target cams that are available seem to work pretty good from my limited experience.
Initially 100yd for the zero and tall man test which is easy with the scope then 500-1000yd for dialing in the dope at distance.

I’ve been using my drone as a shot cam and it’s been working pretty well. It’s a Mavic mini pro 4 and I just leave it folded and sit it on the ground. The battery will last for hours since it’s not flying. The really nice thing is being able to lay the remote right next to you to glance at. I think it’s just as good if not better when shooting by yourself.
