I like the idea of an adjustable sight and plan to run one this coming year.

Looking at the fast eddie xl and was wondering how people that have them like them first off.

Secondly, i like the idea of the 2 pin, wondering how accurate the tape is on them set up this way. (from what i've seen each pin has a dial that lines up on the sight tape)

Or would it be worth it to spend the money on the 3 pin setup? Not even sure how the 3 pin works, and nobody around here carries them..looking for as much insight as I can get before making an order I might regret.

So I don't have 1st hand experience with the fast Eddie but I had a hog father.
You sight in your 1st pin at 20 then pit on a calibration tape that has numbers let's say 1-40. Then sight in at 60 with same pin and whatever number that you 1st pointer is at let's say 30 you go back to your book of tapes and put number 30 on your sight. This gives you a sight tape calibrated to your exact setup. And the second pin lands where ever it lands on the tape and should be correct.

On a 3 pin head u sight in all 3 like normal let's say 20,30,40.
Then if you want to make you 3rd aka 40 pin your slider, move your adjustable housing to hit at 20 start your cal tape and then shoot 20&60 select the tape.
Move your housing back to Zero aka your 3rd 40 pin is on again then align the 40 mark of your tape with the indicator.
So I believe this is the way it's done.

I have the double pin, and and considering a 3 pin head for this next year.

I think the double pin head is perfect for the treestand, especially where I hunt, but I wouldn't mind that third pin out west.

I really like my double pin fast eddie. Once you have your sight tape dialed in, the 2nd pin is just as accurate as the first. I usually set the first pin around 20, which puts the 2nd pin around 35ish on my setup.

I went with .010, it's what I have on my current sight and what I've grown accustomed to. I did have .19 on an old site and didn't care for how much it covered at further distances.

Awesome that helps. I actually already ordered one and went with .019 for #1 and #2 and .010 for #3 that will be my slider. That makes me feel better about that option. Now the wait begins....
