Sportsman’s Warehouse taking over Field & Stream stores

I should also state that I only know what happened in PA. If you are not in PA I have no clue what is going on with your local f&s stores. Sportsman's had no or few stores in PA so it made sense for them to buy PA stores to expand farther east. I don't know if Sportsman's bought any other stores in other states.

Relative to Cabela's? Smaller selection, better prices.

Unfortunately all the really good stuff tends to be best bought online.

Anyone else that comes in a replaces field and stream kudos to them. Hope they all sink.

According to an employee I know at field and stream, their business plummeted After they enacted “commie” gun policies. According to him they will phase out the field and stream brand. Sportsman warehouse has more ability to reflect outdoor activities of the stores region. Something field and stream and dicks always failed to do.

I would guess that SW will be a significant upgrade over the F&S stores. As far as brick and mortar stores go, I place it at or near the very top of hunting/fishing stores I’ve heen in. Their prices are always fair in my experience, even when there has been hoarding and AR type rifles were scarce, they never raised their prices as far as I could tell and gave everyone a fair shot at whatever it was that everyone was hoarding. Very well ran outfit IMHO
