Lovely. Figured they would with how well it went last year for them, just didn’t expect it this early. Next stop, year round closures.

I don't mind them closing their own private property to hunting but when they land lock the millions of acres of public stuff that's a whole new issue that I can't back.

They opened back up before season last year, hopefully they do that again. I also talked with several game wardens and forest rangers in the areas that I hunt with SPI lands, all of them said there was going to be zero enforcement for hunters. Not sure if this was just local to my hunting area as there is no clear boundaries posted. As I understood it, enforcement and ticketing would be for people utilizing the land for other rec activities and camping
