Spend 3x the money as a Harris bipod???

I will be the odd man out, as per usual. Of all the bipods out there, when I choose to use one on a field rifle it’s almost always a Harris 9-13” notched legs, swivel. I don’t necessarily “prefer” Harris bipods, but they are quicker to deploy, quicker to store, quicker to adjust, and simpler.
I got one of these a month or so back after reading this post. I actually think it’s a bit more useful than my atlas. I like the atlas but the Harris is pretty nice for half the price.

Harris bipods are just fine, why pay 3x as much and performance from a bench is the same ? I have tested them against high end bipods and accuracy is the same.

I’ve used the same 13-27” Harris for over 25 years. It’s low enough to shoot prone and tall enough to get over the grass and shoot sitting in every situation I’ve encountered. I use it for load development, target work, varmints and hunting.
I had to buy a second one for my boys but the one on the left has been with me every time I’ve pulled the trigger since the late 90’s, the one on the right is about 4 years old.

Not sure about the previous rust comment, that hasn’t been my experience but I don’t use them on my spear gun. IMG_6417.jpeg

I use both the Harris notched leg swivel and the MDT Orynx. Both work great. Prefer the orynx a bit more, but very close. No experience with the spendy bipods.
