375 ruger custom rifle options

I have a cz550 that is a 338 lapua they built years back called bbadlands magnum that was stolen from my truck and recovered in the woods more than a year later. Needless to say it was in bad shape. I have always wanted to build a 375 ruger from it but unfortunately I waited too long and can't get a bolt with right bolt face for it anymore

I have a ruger African in it and love the round.

Just as a point of reference on velocities, my 19" barrel posted above I have no problem getting 2600 fps with 270 gr. Barnes LRX and TSX with both Big Game and 6.5 StaBall powder. The 6.5 StaBall is a little more loud/boomy (powder still burning at muzzle I figure) so Big Game or faster burn rate is my preference so far

Edit to add: accuracy is excellent with both powders and bullets!

Curious on components used, barrel length, and velocity’s? Thinking about doing something like that but also kinda wanna just push the easy button and take the 20 minute drive to ts customs

Defiance anTi action
Gunwerks Clymr stock
PBB 22” custom contour barrel
Triggertech Primary

It’s chambered in 375 H&H, so not exactly the same. Feeding is great, including flat nose solids, which is why I elected that action instead of trying something else.

Have not shot it over a chronograph. Have shot it though.

I built myself a 375 Ruger on a Stainless Tikka T3X receiver. Weight was 6 pounds 3.5 ounces without a scope. 22" barrel with a break, I'm shooting 300gr partitions right at 2800fps into a clover. I tried some 250 GMX Hornadys but couldn't get them under a 3" group at 100. One reason i went with the Tikka is that it has a sako extractor and shorter bolt throw. I took it to Kodiak Island this past Oct and it was a joy to carry and extremely wieldable.
Tell us more about that gun.

I had Rick redo my Ruger with a blind mag and metal trim. I think it's 6 pounds 2 oz as pictured. Very nice. But I don't use it much. Kinda wish I'd done the same thing to a 308. I might sell it but it's kinda sentimental (got my first grizzly with it pre modified).

That thing looks feisty. Similar to the less svelte version Rick did for me (I wanted to keep some weight) Is that a NECG rear peep on the rear there? Almost looks like a blob of weld?
