I am looking at getting one of these for my tikka. For those of you who have the javalin lite, do you wish you had adjustable legs Those of you who have the pro version, do you like the adjustable legs? Any other advantages? Looks like all of the other features are the same. Any info is appreciated!

recently went through same thought processes. I ended up getting a lite and the tricer gtp-rs legs. best of both worlds for a little cheaper than the pro model with added flexibility of using trekking poles for taller bipod. I have not had this out in the field yet so can't comment on that- but theoretically its pretty cool. Would welcome anyone's experience who has fielded that combo.

Same here, but I got the Pro Tac. I really like how you can customize the position of the leg release buttons so its perfect for whichever hand/angle fits you the best. I got the long legs and they are perfect for me prone. Really happy with the entire setup, and ultimately I feel like it saved me money since I only need an adapter for each rifle and can quickly move the bipod from one rifle to the next.

I didn’t know about the treking pole attachment. That looks pretty slick!

Same thing here, tricers are nice. Not sure they extend as much as the spartan pro legs by themselves, obviously add in the trekking poles though and that changes haha.

Got another question for you guys. I saw they have an attachment that will screw on a standard tripod and will click into the same rifle mount. I will likely always have a tripod with me when I’m rifle hunting. That seems like a good way to shoot from a kneeling or possibly standing position. My tripod isn’t super heavyweight, but I’m sure it would support the rifle enough for an accurate shot.

Lite are fixed length. Both me and my hunting buddy used my Lite for pronghorn in WY this past October. As soon as I got home I ordered the 9-12" adjustable Pro Tac legs, put them on my Lite "body", and will be going with that forward. We both had to put something under the standard height legs to make them work for our shots.

The other difference is the lite doesn't lock open. The pro locks the legs open so they don't close and cause the rifle to tip over.

I've had that happen many times while crawling an stalks with my older Javelin bipods.

I which they would come out with a picatinny direct mount,. No magnet at all.
I don't want to remove the rails and don't want there adapter hanging down ether.

Just a simple thro lever picatinny like the adm mount for the harris.

The best is their gunsmith mount. With one of those installed it’s a great setup. I absolutely hate that thing you have to Mount on the rifle to use those bipods. The gunsmith adapter fixes that problem but take some doing.
