Been eying the Browning X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR Carbon Fiber in 7prc for quite some time now and pretty close to pulling the trigger. Can’t seem to find a ton of info or field test for this rifle so I wanted to check in here.

Other considerations have been. Start a semi custom Tikka build or Seekins Element.

For the mid $2k price point… Do y’all feel it is a good deal or is there something else that I should consider?

I am considering getting one of these too (or without the CF barrel). I am curious where you can locate one of these rifles for mid $2k?

Not only could I not find this rifle for anywhere near $2500, I can't even find it in stock anywhere

For my purposes accuracy is definitely necessary but not sufficient. I also care about weight, barrel length, the stock, and accessory rail. I am also considering the last generation of the same rifle without the minor X-bolt 2 updates and without the carbon barrel. It can be had for $2300 or so.

Browning Pro Mcmillan SPR will not be available until the forth quarter of 25. I just spoke to Browning yesterday. 2, you are looking at 4k for it.
Other guns in that price range are
Horizon Firearms venatic and Proof Research. I have heard to many horror stories with Fierce. Gunwerks Werkman also offers a $3750 option. I have never shot this Browning, however, I can guarantee out of the box, the GW will be hard to outshoot. But steel barrel, no bells or whistles, just accurate as all get out with any kind of ammo you can find. I've decided on this rifle, what I am buying for my wife, the big factor being the weight of this rifle and Hawg muzzel break, even though I'll put a can on it.

According to their website that gun is well over 9lbs. Is that right? Not saying that is super heavy or anything, but definitely not light and not even in the same ballpark as the rifle the OP referenced.

There are Browning X-bolt McMillan SPR available. You must be talking about the X-bolt 2 SPR with the CF barrels not being available

I stand corrected, yes Xbolt 2 Pro Mcmillan SPR. It will be around 6lbs 10ounce. That's with upper and lower rail. GW werkman with a scope was around 9lbs 8 ounce i believe. I reckon the Browning set up will be a half lb less, with a good tactical scope.

Did you see Seekins discontinued 24 lineup? ;( improvements look good, but 1k more mula.

Fyi, I just priced Browning xbolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR, Got a price of $3400

I have a browning xbolt mtn pro sbr and I beat the tar out of it and its still trucking along fine. I was going to get the mcmillan but opted for this one since it is stainless under the cerakote. I got mine from buds gun shop a few months ago for $1450
