Greetings,

We are looking at adding Spartan Bipods to our lineup at the shop and was wondering if anyone on here had feedback from use in the field and had any recommendations on which models to carry. Thank you for your help!

Hi RO

I don' have a lot to offer but I do have a Javelin light with the Pro Hunt Tac legs. Got gunsmith adapters bed in 3 stocks + a Red Kettle holster attached to whatever pack I'm using. All smart, rock solid, slick, and ideal for traveling light - very pleased!

Hope this is helpful!

I've used one for maybe 5 years. Also, the gunsmith adapters are the way to go. Flush, light and solid. The pic rail adapter works but is another big hunk of metal hanging off another hunk of metal. Got rid of that adapter quick.
I do t know their current models , but mine has the longer,. adjustable legs.
I absolutely love it for my type hunting. I carry it in my blaze vent pocket and it pops on in seconds as I'm setting up shot or moving to the shooting spot( top of ridge ,etc)

Same here, light body with pro Tac legs and it’s the best. Recently got the new holster from FHF and run it under my bino harness, quick access.

I run the Pro Hunt Long version with Tac legs. Have the gunsmith adapter in one of my rifles, and my others wear the classic adapter. If I could get myself to commit to drilling a 3/4” hole in my expensive stocks, they would all have the gunsmith adapter. The twist lock legs are awful.

I have 2, the Javelin Pro Hunt (I switched to the tac legs so now it is basically a Javelin Pro Hunt Tac) and the special edition Veterans one (I think its just a Javelin Lite with different graphics). Like my Kestrel, I carry it a whole lot more than I actually use it.

The twist-lock legs are not great, I switched to the tac legs. This makes it fit funny in the Razco kydex holster I have for it, but it still works. I have one of the Red Kettle holsters as well. I want to try one of the new FHF ones.

I have not put one of the gunsmith adapters in any of my weapons, but I would be up for trying it out, especially for using it with the Spartan arca plate on a full-size tripod. Right now I have a pic rail adapter, arca adapter, and swivel-stud adapter on three different rifles.

I have the pro hunt long. It’s the only one I personally have experience with. Overall, I’m a huge fan of the bipod. The twist legs are certainly not the best, but they were a little lighter than the tac legs. For long backpacking hunts, I’m not sure which I would prefer yet. I absolutely think the long is the length to go for general hunting purposes though.

As a note, the new black colour option looks pretty slick.

I have the pro hunt tac long, and love it. Will add one to each of my rifles eventually. I use the red kettle holster too, it's functional but not the greatest.

x2, worth carrying in your shop IMO.

I use the light with long legs. They are great. Would never even consider using the big heavy metal ones again. Super fast to snap on if you need it and out of the way if you don’t need it. I like the fixed legs as it’s one less thing to think about and you can adjust shot angle enough with body position and improvised rear rest that I don’t find the fixed leg length to be a handicap at all. They are very well made.

Pro hunt long here and I really like it. The twist legs work ok, would have liked the taco legs better. Also using the Pro Davaros head, and got an Arca adaptor for another tripod. The whole system just works, I’m a fan.

Agree the gunsmith adaptors will be better, but I’m still using the standard ones that replace the swivel stud.

When I ordered mine, the shipping took quite a while because it came from the UK. If y'all carried it in the US and there isn't a significant price difference I'd buy through y'all to save on shipping time for sure.
