Hey Roksliders,
The weather is getting nicer, which means we can finally get outside and start working out our long-range rifles. 7 years ago I started working for Spartan Precision Equipment, and this was the very first forum we partnered with. As a small company, we’re able to listen to your feedback and actually incorporate it into revisions of each product.
Our Valhalla bipod just received an update, so I wanted to give you a little look into the Gen 2 version of it. After thousands of rounds of field use and user experience from around the world, shooters were happy with the overall design, but saw small areas to improve the adjustment mechanisms. Based on that input, here is what’s new:
Compared to our ultra-light Javelin bipod series, the Valhalla is designed to prioritize an ability to adapt to challenging terrain. A wider stance, extremely low bore axis, and five leg pitch positions are features that maximize stability. At 13 ounces it’s still light, so hopefully it won’t ruin all the other investments you’ve made into a carbon/titanium shooting platform.
Curious if any of you have seen one of these in the field yet? Any questions about it?
What would you like to see next from Spartan?

Based on that input, here is what’s new:
- The horizontal mounting spigot is sleeker
- Reinforced stainless steel shoulder joints add durability
- Improved cant control lever is more ergonomic
