SOS Cimmeron Mod Thanks Luke

This is kind of obvious and line locs are really nice but another option to get the same results is just cordage and a taut line hitch knot. Just got a redcliff in the mail and set up today. Worked well for me and after 6 hours in the 100% humidity of central pa today I had no condensation. We will see after tonight.

Yup, that would work just fine. However, I would have flunked as a boy scout as I'm horrible at remembering knots. Thank goodness for Velcro shoelaces :D

Its been my experience that most of the condensation is generated from the occupant and not just general accumulation from surroundings, etc.

Those that used line-locs....did you put them on the Cimarron stake-out loops only or on both the loops and the stake end of the cord?

Not sure what you are asking.

I think its way simpler, you'd be more brave relying on Chinese plastic bits in the middle of nowhere not to fail.
In case some if you don't know who he is. He is national geographic adventurer of the year. Did a 176 day solo trek around Alaska.
So those knots have been put to the test. Alaska-Yukon Expedition - Andrew Skurka

Whoa it back a bit. I was just poking a little fun since he uses courage (sic)

you only put them on the loops; just make a loop at the end of the cord for the stake to go through- the line-loc simply allows a easy way to tighten the line
