I worked out Luke's mod to Raise the Cimmeron on up 3 inches off the ground for air flow. Works like a champ. Ordered a bunch of Line Locks with the straps attached from Zpack and some of their ultra high vis line. This is a great modification I highly recommend to anyone who runs a Tipi. really gives you nice air flow down low to keep the condensation at bay.

ZPacks.com Ultralight Backpacking Gear - Materials is where I got the Line locks straps are already built in so you just have to weave them in with the tie outs. very easy to do modification.

Thanks Luke!

Heh, looks good. You didn't tell me about the fact that the linelocs had loops attached when you ordered them. I should have take a look when I was there. Makes more sense about how you thought that's where I got mine. I made mine but pretty much the same design. I'll have to pick up some for the Sawtooth.

Yeah you gotta come back through town so we can hang out. got all kinds of tricks up my sleeve. Was great having you Brad. You and your wife are awesome folks. Welcome in my home anytime. We definitely gotta do some hanging out and get the toys out to play with.

Here is what I ordered.

I have a bunch left. PM me your address I can send them over to you. I ordered like 4 dozen lol. Already hooked up Mike my hunting buddy with a bunch for his Cimmeron. Need to know how many tie outs the Sawtooth has. Been a while since I sold mine

When did he get married? I'm pissed if I missed the party!

Yeah, another story for another day but it was a long time coming and since I'm living it up in Cali for 6 months without her, I couldn't put it off any longer.

Now, how 'bout them linelocs

Great post, just ordered some for my sawtooth and paratarp! I'd not been driving my stakes all the way to accomplish this but was always afraid of high winds pull them out, so problem solved!

Thanks SHTF and Luke

Right on man!! Yup I like the Zpacks linelocs as well. Tried those red aluminum ones from Liberty on Amazon and absolutely HATE them!

Colonel00 here is a pick from our scouting trip for the 2017 Packraft rondy!! As you can see the Cimarron is elevated here as well. Even with 20 mphish winds its just fine inside the tipi.

Saw that pic (or one similar). Looks like a fun adventure for sure. You'll have to tell me all about it.

A couple different lakes along the revised 2017 planned route:

Another lake and this one is likely night #2 camp site for the 2017 Rondy:
