Some long range PA bucks

All taken at 900 yards or more, longest 1350 yards most one shot kills.

I love long range shooting, but this approach is a turn off to me for a number of reasons, let alone wondering how you’re pulling this off in PA.

If you have the equipment and skill set. It’s no different from regular hunting. I’ve taken deer with a bow, a S&W 41mag and several with a rifle while still hunting. I find this more challenging and enjoyable. The kill is secondary to the chance to observe deer and other Animals their natural habitat plus being with like minded friends. It’s not for everyone. To each their own.

Most don't understand about the Original 1000 yard bench rest club is in PA.

It really is. Hart, Bansner, etc...are amongst the best gunsmith, and are in PA.

A lot of people never heard of The Original 1000 yard benchrest club in PA.

It spawned a lot of world class rifle builders.

Yes mate. I live in Australia. I come over to shoot the IBS 1000 yard Nationals that were held in NC back in 2000. Met Bruce Baer there, along with a heap of other guys from the Williamsport club. From there I went to PA to visit a friend for a few days. He took me over to Hart's and I spent the afternoon chatting to Bobby junior. Also met Hart senior there too. Good fun with like-minded people

I have probably seen you there, I was with Bruce Baer. I won the IBS/NBRSA light-gun national championship there for score. Hawk's Ridge range.

Yes mate. You would have seen me there. I borrowed a rifle off Bob Crone for the heavy class. I was leading on score after the first day, but had a bad target the second day. I finished in 10th place for the heavy group standings.

Weird flex calling out PA. PA is one of the oldest “long range” shooting and competition shooting states. Huge history and multiple generations now of long range varmint hunters and long range shooters.

It’s quite a bit different.

In a traditional hunting, you spot/stalk the animal and when you're comfortable and confident, you take the shot.
The big différance in long-range hunting is the conditions that come into play that's really the skill set, being able to read the conditions, wind and light mostly. You still have to spot and follow the animal and wait for a good shot. This my sound simplistic, but it's the way I approach it. It's not rocket science.

But there is a lot of flexing going on here lately. I just read a post from a habitual offending phony dude now derailing threads with nothing to offer other than stupid one liner questions. “What your definition of “efficient/long range/effective” Just looking for an argument.
Sad. And very childish. But it helps point out the insecure keyboard killers.

Every now and then some should think past their own bubble and realize their way isn’t the only way.

Oh I totally agree with you. The “gatekeeping” of a couple members on here is laughable.
