After running a 1st Gen/2014 Exo absolutely into the ground over the last 9 years (replaced everything that could be replaced twice, upgraded the belt to a k2 but the harness is completely shot and no longer replaceable. Had multiple repairs: patches, zippers, resewn seams that were falling apart etc… talking easily 600+ days of use), I bought a SG setup as I expected the Xcurve would fit me well and it does. I went with the Col 4800 bag and have had it out for a weekend trip and a 5.5 day trip.

I think I have it dialed in well and it’s feel comfortable. Here’s my gripe: the f-ing thing won’t stand up vertically when packing up -certainly not on it’s on, and often not very well leaning against a tree or rock. I don’t won’t to lay it flat because I don’t won’t to have to get on my knees every time I’m placing something inside, just want it to stand up reasonably vertically so I can pack up.

Try strapping your foam pad to the bottom. I use a torso length pad and it usually works for my packs
