I'd be interested in hearing about some of your accurate fast loads for the .280. I'm planning a sheep hunt and have been loading up some 140 gr accubonds. I found the RL19 to be a bit disappointing. The velocity is about 200 fps under what the book says it should be. At 57 grains accuracy isn't that great in my Ruger MK II. Very accurate at 55 grains but only about 2800 fps. I'm going to try a load with 4350. What have you guys found works well?

I am getting 3040 with 140 Accubonds out of two rifles with 26" barrels. Both rifles love H4831sc. A stable powder as well.

Noslers load listed velocities and BC's have always been exaggerated. Not that the Accubond is a bad bullet, just dont expect their velocity without a 26" tube. My 280's seem to shoot best with rl22. I've been using a 154 SST with 58 gr of rl22 for quite a few years, in my Rem 700 mtn rifle it gets 2951 with good accuracy.
