I was reading Court Gordon’s excellent write up on a one person, 4 season tent from Stone Glacier. It got me thinking that I don’t really have a solo tent that is built for heavy snow. It got me thinking about what else is out there.

so for those that use a smaller tent for heavy winter snow, what do you like?

Hilleberg Soulo is a pretty highly regarded 1 man 4 season tent. Tarptent Scarp 1 is another great option. SG tents are just slightly modified SlingFin tents. Big Sky Chinook, plenty of the climbing tents are more of a 1 man size. Rab, MSR, Bibler/ Black Diamond all make versions, even Nemo. I like side entry tents over front entry, but that's a personal preference thing.
