Solid shed hunting

2021 deer season was a good one and we followed it up with a successful shed season this spring. First year I have really went looking for sheds purposefully. Was hoping to find a particular set of antlers from the number 1 target buck but no success on him.

Good work. I've found some over the years. Nothing for numbers (few a year). I've noticed ours seem to get chewed up quicker every year.

My son found a shed in a patch of woods near our house.

They were buried in the mud with just the stump sticking out. They were rubbing the heck out of trees.

I found the match set January 11, a day after our season closed! That’s the earliest I’ve found any.

It's fun to collect them. At least that's why I scoop em up. These are some of the smaller sheds I've collected over the years.
