Solar chargers

The integrated units I have tried have sucked. I use a Goal Zero Nomad 10 to charge a couple of power banks.

Thanks! I'm not well versed on the solar tech at all, is there any where you can put the device on and it charges the device or does the device have to have that capability built in? Or is it just plug it in directly to the solar charger or like you said plug in power banks to the solar charger and charge that way?

The output on the panel is USB-A, so you can plug your device directly into the panel as long as your device accepts low current charging. For example, a laptop that requires 20 watts to charge isn't going to recognize a 10w input. Also, the wattage specs on panels are ideal, not averaged. Some panel companies are more honest than others.

All that said, if I have room for a panel, I have room for a bank, and it makes the setup much more versatile.

Cool, once again thank you for the reply. I think i'm going to look into pickin one of these things up.

Stick with Goal Zero, Anker, Posidion, or Dark Energy. Avoid amazon/temu/wish options.
Will do, I try to avoid amazon at all and mostly do only resort to when I can't find important stuff anywhere for the life of me, have never used the other two. Hey those brands you listed do they manufacture power banks as well or if not what are some of the top quality ones out there now adays?

I should have asked/mentioned in my original post as well that I wouldn't mind upgrading to a tough, cold weather durable long lasting power bank as well. Mine I have now works but it was given to me as a gift and dont think it is the greatest.

The companies listed all make quality power banks IIRC. Several, but maybe not all, make solar panels that hook to the power banks. Equally is important is using a quality cord along with your power bank/panel. The ones that you pick up at the gas station have not worked well for me.
