The Gear I’ll Never Use Again

1. The squeeze bag that comes with the Sawyer microsqueeze filter. Sprung a leak.
2. Jetboil. Leaked at the welds. Plastic base detached from burner. Wouldn't ignite.
3. Seak Outside Sittin' Saddle. The product itself didnt fail but I failed to not get angry at it everytime I tried to use it.

I’m curious about your experience with Proof barrels.
New build 300 WSM
Pierce Shadow, XLR chassis, Proof CF, Trijicon Tenmile
Couldn’t get under 2 MOA @ 100 yds & tried usual troubleshooting.
Sent off for load devo… same results with multiple loads
Rebarreled with Ace & now shoots 2-3”IMG_1245.jpeg @ 650 yds.

Was enough to meet the title criteria of this thread. Still lives in my safe may repurpose as a paperweight…

Durston X Mid 1. The weight is great and it works well enough on a large and perfectly flat camp but I’ve found it too temperamental pitching it in 90% of my locations.

Sawyer filters. Too finicky, the bags are fragile, and backwashing for cleaning is a joke.
BeFree and Platypus QuickDraw are far superior.

Nobody uses the sawyer bags, they’re junk. Just get a Cnoc for dirty. Indestructible. Never had a problem with backwashing. Put a pre filter screen on and it cuts down the backwashing immensely.

Also adding Patagonia wading jackets for the fly fishers/guides out there. Too many problems with broken zippers. Went to grab mine today and half the teeth just sheared off the bottom of the zipper. Only good thing is that they have honored the warranty every time. Sending it back this week.

I have an OG Sitka Delta Wading Jacket that has lasted me 6 seasons in Alaska and 8 duck seasons with no complaints other than deet will melt the rubber on the sleeve cuffs. Still works though.
