Reading a thread like this makes you realize how much BS is involved in working for a living. SO MUCH BS!!!

I'm very thankful to have a job that pays me an above average wage but damn it blows working for a living sometimes. Anybody know where I can pick up one of those trust funds people are always talking about?

There's a reason why I'm not working anymore at 54.......I've been in management of some sort my entire career. It doesn't matter how many good workers you have, you'll always have plenty of the opposite as well. My goal was always to work myself out of a job by getting everyone on the same page, and training them up on how to fully function competently without supervision. But some people will always require supervision and ALL of your time. And it doesn't get much better even when you have multiple layers of supervision under you.

It sounds like a communication issue. it sucks because it will have to be more work on your end until he figures out his new role. I would suggest to follow up in person or phone call after sending him the report. Once he acknowledges you sent the report in closed loop feedback, then its on him.
