I think we both have the same distaste for our current "leaders", but different views on how we want to participate in the change.

The irony of my "seriousness" is lost on you. If you really had the qualities of being American you would get it.

The "heart on my sleeve patriotism for Canada" is something my American colleagues often pointed out as a quality that they understood and admired (even if we disagreed on certain things). These last ten years of watching my country wilt around me has been difficult at best.
Not because of the easy "I hate the Turd" rhetoric, but because i know everything we can be as a nation.

Great game and exactly what Ive wanted to watch for a decade. Finally we have international hockey with the best of the best actually playing. Next year Olympics with NHL players for first time since 14' and follow that up with the World cup returning in 28'. Going to be some awesome rivalry and hate building up...I do think the Fins are very dangerous once they have a healthy D. . We are missing Hughes on our D line and its a big hit, just like Canada missing Makar. Was great to see the fights, but at the same time, taking both Tkatchuk's to the box for 5 minutes does not help the team at all. But it was the best USA has looked in a LONG time, and our future is strong with some great talent. Its been some awesome games to watch, and this tournament was a great idea for the sport.

All the Canadians ive met through hunting, snowmobiling, my work etc hate Trudeau, just like many of us Americans didnt like our previous president. I dont judge an entire country off a handful of people, and if you do, it shows pure ignorance on your part.

This tournament would have been a lot more interesting with ovi/kaprizov/malkin etc. Not saying they would have won, but it would have been even more interesting.

Yep I agree. I think Russia would be championship material with the guys they can put on a team right now. I hope they are back in the Olympics, those players deserve it.

ah ah well that is a problem to me lol im half french lol ..... you have to think differently we re not so different but enough to be two different countries able to be or wishing to be good neigbhours but not interested in the expansionism of your elected president that is not interested in my well being at all but more about all the good natural ressources we have and not willing to pay the real cost of them ...
trust me i want trudeau gone but not interested in having trump instead ... and again if you think about the yukon because you will be able to hunt without a guide it is not happening at all we are not alaska ... all the resident hunters i know will be opposed to that idea and the outfitters had enough leverage that they removed the posibility for us to do special guiding on grizzly many years ago ...

im canadian and never been interested in becoming us citizen (i choose canada when i moved from europe) ... still i do think we have to pay more for military and not only for the Nato but also Norad.

we still should be neighbours, good ones but up to the time trump is not stop his bullying it will be hard... he has created a good thing as now patriotism is not anymore something to be ashame ....

What’s even more absurd is when you go through the airport and they have French signs and broadcasts when I bet less than 00000000.00000000001% of Vancouver speaks French. They’re broadcasting the wrong language and we all know what it should be.

Trudeau killed Canada's identity on purpose. Introduced replacement theory. Now somehow because of Trump there are people that hate Trudeau but are defending him. Trump may have cost Canada this next election sadly. Lots of Canadians have very short memories. They forget that during the trucker protests RCMP trampled old ladies with their horses, beat old citizens with the butts of their ARs, smashed windows and drug tax paying citizens out of their vehicles and much more. That was all directed by the Trudeau government and now people have forgotten that.
