I have a Davis Tent & Awning 10x12 wall tent with traditional pole system and the cylinder stove. I’ve used it a lot but started to leave it at home in favor of my Seek Outside 4 man tipi. Now I’m looking for something that has the best of both.

The wall tent and stove take up a lot of room, heavy, more setup/breakdown time, larger footprint. The tipi has minimal standing room, condensation, and water ran in last year during storms.

Thoughts on the snowtrekker 9.5x9.5 Mountain Den or is there a better option? I did consider the Arctic Oven Ursa.

I’m looking for a truck camp for one person that I can fit a cot in, small wood stove that packs down, standing room, smallish foot print, not extremely heavy or take up lots of space in the truck, simple setup. I’m probably going to sell my 10x12 Davis package.

I still own 2 Davis wall tents, a 14x16 and a 10x12, I also went down the rabbit hole of trying almost every tipi known to man, they just aren’t for me, then I bought a Snowtrekker Basecamp model, and now I also have their new 8x8 High Country in canvas…. Snowtrekker makes the best, lightweight canvas tents hand down, set up is super easy, they pack down like no other canvas tent I’ve owned, you won’t be disappointed, I have no idea if buying the Mountain Den package or whatever is worth it versus the regular High Country, it’s been a minute since I did all the research, I think the 9.5x9.5 will be perfect for what you’re describing, call Jonah at Snowtrekker, he’s probably the nicest business owner I’ve ever met, and he hunts, he will gladly answer any questions.

Thanks, that’s the input I was looking for. I think the mountain den was the smallest with a stove jack but I’ll give them a call.
