ah, but I LOVE my south facing backyard!
Having spent half my life above the 45th parallel, I can deal with shoveling a little snow in the front whilst enjoying cold adult beverages on those sunny, Winter Colorado days in the back!

I just sit on a lawn chair in front of the house :D

^ the moisture was there in the mountains, but a lot of snow came off earlier than normal- I remember vividly getting swept off my feet on the upper North Fork of the Blackfoot and swimming for my life to get to other side in late May :D
NW MT was average or above last year, if I remember correctly. The North Fork was flowing real good last year! Until July, then it was patheic

Like stated above: Wyoming is in a world of hurt (again) if don't get a lot of spring moisture.

Palisade doesn’t much snow or even weather of any real kind, it’s about the only thing that bugs me about living here. Boring weather. I got my fill of shoveling in Steamboat, Dad assigned me the chore of keeping the driveway open. Sometimes by the time I had finished shoveling it was time to start shoveling.

Totally agree, we spend a lot of time and garden so love the south facing yard. Enjoy shoveling most of the time

We're doing just fine here in AK.

I’d say so, especially here in South Central. Glacier Bowl Express (Alyeska), has received over 600” so far this season! Is there a ski resort in the country that’s got more snow than that?

As of two days ago Alyeska was #1 in North America, with the #2 not even coming close.

I’m in SW Montana and our snowpack is looking pretty pathetic. Road to the house is almost completely bare (should be completely covered), lots of bare spots on hillsides snow berms along 191 and 287 aren’t even waist high. Supposed to have a few days in the forties this week and possibly rain.

Central Idaho last year we had a quick warmup everything melted off and was gone. Summer was dry and spent all summer choking on smoke. Thought this year was going to be solid with the early storms but we've gone from 130% SWE to mid 80s now. Looks like some weather coming this week but who knows if that will make a dent in it or not. We didn't get our spring rains last year and that really hurt us.

Central South Dakota has been extremely dry. 4” of snow for the season, maybe .1-.2” moisture since December. Huge cracks in the ground gonna soak up any moisture we do get
