My Ariens was built in 1970. It has blown a lot of snow and is still reliable.

I have what’s probably a 70’s vintage Ariens rear tine rototiller that still kicks ass ………. Does that count ??

I don’t see any tracked ariens, is that true, I’ve only tried wheel blowers of others and never liked them, is there any issues with that

Keep in mind that if you have a wheeled machine, you can throw chains on it. My neighbor fills his tires with windshield wiper fluid somehow for a bit of extra weight.

My 09 Ariens had the smaller wheels/tires and on my steep gravel drive I didn’t need chains. My new one has taller wheels and tires but a little lighter and no chains needed still. I think some folks try using their machine uphill; not gonna work very well. Blow down, drive up on that pass then work down again; same as a plow.

The wheels on the deluxe and up models are great. When you go below the deluxe line you get into stuff more made for smaller paved driveways.

I have a 1989 John Deere snowblower. . . It's amazing! But sounds like you should go ariens

That John Deere may have been made by ariens. I believe John Deere actually contracted those out to other companies then put their colors and name on them.

I’m curious about these Ariens now, anybody had one for a long time. Over 10 yrs would be better curious how they hold up long term.

Mine is 20 years old and still runs like new. As long as you maintain them. I’ve replaced the friction disk And the skids, but otherwise it’s been problem free. Drain the carb and the tank at the end of the season, change the oil. Grease the auger and that’s it.
