I put together a yearly Spring Snow Goose Hunt for a group of guys. Basically, I’m the planner of the group lol.
Three guys in our group had to cancel due to work constraints. I realize this is short term notice, but I thought I’d throw the offer out to fellow roksliders if anybody’s interested in joining on a snow goose hunt in Arkansas.
Northern Skies Outfitters. Central to Northern Arkansas (depending on Bird movement), Hunt dates, 2/9–2/14. Can commit to hunting any of those days one day up to six days. I’ve got three open spots with our group.
I’ve hunted with the same outfit for the last five years. Great group of guides and know them quite well at this point. Generally lots of shooting, and a lot of BS between flocks. We always have a ton of fun!
Mornings are the busiest time. But we hunt mornings and afternoons. With the option to hunt all day if we want. Average day 25 snow geese. But I’ve had up to 70 Bird days with them. It really just comes down to weather when chasing snow geese.
We book our own hotel in town and generally go out to dinner as a group each night.
Outfitter cost $235 per day. Paid directly to the outfitter (I don’t handle any of the money personally).
If you’ve ever wanted to do a Spring Snow Goose hunt, but didn’t wanna get paired up with a random group of people. This is a great opportunity. You’re still gonna get paired up with random guys you haven’t met, but at least we’re on Rokslide which probably makes us a bit cooler lol.
I met one of my closest hunting friends randomly on this Hunt a few years ago. We just did a Cape Buffalo Hunt in Mozambique together back in October and are already booked for the next two years for buffalo in Zimbabwe and Mozambique together! So it’s a good opportunity to meet other serious hunters.
