Snake Season is upon us....

Hells Canyon Idaho spring time is Snake Central! Ran into 4 rattlesnakes day 1 hiking in.
Had a nasty experience while glassing. Was sitting in tall grass and felt something start slithering on my arm. Nearly had a heart attack.
I had a glock 44 with me for stuff like this. Buddy ended up keeping it and skinned it.

Oh yeah, that one wasn't. Maybe like a corn snake or something. I'm not an expert, couldn't tell you. But after seeing so many rattlesnakes in the area, having something slithering on my skin wasn't pleasant in the slightest. Hence the jump scare!

4 rattlesnakes on one short horseback ride yesterday. Its looking like it might be a doozy of a year here in Central WY.

Uhh yeah rattlesnake bites are no joke . Especially in the middle of nowhere. Good way to experience a Life Flight

Don’t think you are. Head doesn’t remotely resemble a pit viper . With the exception of coral snakes, all venomous snakes in North America are pit vipers.
