Screw all of you smoking weed. It is destroying the country and our way of life.
If you think people that smoke weed are destroying your way of life maybe you should read a history book about what the temperance movement did to our country. Strengthened the mob, turned citizens into criminals, ruined the economy. I dont smoke weed but believe the freedom to do so and pay taxes for buying it are a much better plan than draconian laws and the black market it creates.

You must not live in a state that it was voted in. The smell, the crime, the bullies that do not give a shit about life.

Legal in my state. Not decriminalized. State makes a sh×t ton of money. If your caught driving high you get arrested. Ive never met a stoner that bullied anything but a snack. Im sorry about your experience. Drinkers are more of a problem than smokers in my experience. I still dont blame drinkers for destroying my country or way of life. Thats left to politicians and people that dont place blame where it belongs.

So state making money off of thug stoners makes it right? Not in my book.

Wait until that thug grower moves next door to you. All voted in under agriculture shield.

It is not agriculture but you will learn the hard way.

When you barbeque, does the smoke not create it's own smell?

Lol.

Really breathed some life into this stupid thread.

I'll keep an eye out for the stoner thug bullies. Can't have mom over, she'll be over there getting blazed.

Go do a bit of research. Check the stats in ANY state that has "legalized" marijuana. They have all experienced an increase in DUI fatalities!

As far as the temperance movement, that's sort of a sideways affair.
Don't think that marijuana hasn't created its fair share of criminals, entrepreneurs, smells, bullies, etc, etc....
I find pot heads a HELLUVA lot bigger problem than drunks. (they're still under the impression that marijuana is harmless!)
Mikey and Larry were the two biggest potheads on the job. How they kept from getting others killed, I have no idea!
BOTH of them died in full care facilities!
No idea who they were or where they were. They just laid there in a pool of their own drool until they died a horrid death!
Tell was an alcoholic. He caught a trip out of town. The crew stopped ever chance they hot and bought him 7-Up and crackers. He threw it all up.
Same thing on the return trip. Crackers, 7-Up and nausea!
Tell made it to terminal sober, drove to the hospital and checked himself in.
A week later, a hearse hauled his cirrhosis of the liver corpse to the funeral home.
Same with Rusty.
I've had friends and acquaintances, male, female, old, young, rich, poor, dumb AND brilliant die due to drugs and/or alcohol!

The worst one?
Hal was 15 years old. His parents went out of town for the night.
Hal had some friends over. One of them brought a fifth of "Black Jack".
At some point, one of his (ahem!) "friends" bet him $10 he couldn't kill the remainder of the "Black Jack"!
He did!
His friend paid up!
Hal passed out!
His "friends" left!
The next day, Hal's parents found an empty whiskey bottle, a $10 bill and a son, very dead of alcohol poisoning!

Do tell me just how innocent drugs and alcohol may be!

BTW! One if my dad's favorite horse worming techniques was dose of strychnine!
So ugly crap can have beneficial uses.

What about when you cannot even have your mom over on mothers day for dinner. The smell is so bad you cannot go outside for a bbq.
Man, sounds like somebody needs to hit the bong and chill out...😜
But seriously...Move farther away from the stoned masses?
I mean, I get it...weed and most of the people that smoke it in public settings are obnoxious tools...but if its that many of your neighbors in their own home/property sounds like a place you don't fit in.
I can't stand the smell of it. Don't deal well with drunks anymore either...So I stay my pasty ass out the bars and live far enough away from other people that my neighbors would need to throw a pound or so of weed on their patio fire for me to get a wif of it.
Weed ain't going away anytime soon so I think your in the wrong spot if it affects you that badly.
I'm personally all for legalized and taxed vice substances. No reason they should be treated differently than alcohol or tobacco...and I dont use either.
May as well tax it and put that money towards cleaning up the aftermath of it cause it's not going away and the taxpayers have been funding the cleanup long enough, let the users contribute a bit more.

It is not the dude on the corner smoking it. Its the illegal grow and or selling operation on the rural corner. The county and state do not enforce shit.

I have lived at this location 30 yrs. Why should I be forced out because the government will not enforce code/law?

I have a friend that has proven if you fire up a joint a deer will show up in under a half hour. Maybe they are curious and it also covers your scent. The hard part is seeing straight to shoot it.
I had a friend carry a little radio and play it for a few minutes while hunting. He said deer were curious critters and would always come to the sound of it. Not sure how true it was, but he always managed to kill deer

So what does an illegal grow have to do with the state legalization?

If it’s an illegal grow call the feds.

Or quite being a P**** and just beat the bully up.

Dont blame elkdreamer for being angry. Him being mad about locals not enforcing laws is no different than most of us being mad about penalties for real criminals being reduced while more laws are made against gun owners and hunters. Im sorry to everyone on this thread if I set him off with my comments about my experiences being different than his. He blew off some steam because it sounds like he is being put in a bad position by bad neighbors and circumstances. Let stop the mockery and get back to talking about hunting and shooting.

As stated...bark up a different tree if thats the case. It's still illegal on a federal level. Even at a state level in a legalized state, an illegal grow/sales operation is tax evation at the very least and God knows government of any size wants their dues paid...sounds like you need to make more noise...or sneak in and burn it down...if its illegal not like they could report it going up in smoke to anyone.

On that note...I say elkdreamer burns down the illegal grow and monitors how many critters come to check on it out of curiosity...two birds one stone and could even be the be-all-end-all to this conversation/debate... In alm seriousness though, sounds like a situation that requires intervention at a higher than local level if thats the case.

My answer is "most" citizens pay taxes and "most" citizens have rights.

Yours do not override your neighbor's.

I can't tell if you are saying that your neighbors actually are operating an illegal grow or if that is some sort of hyperbole. If so, you've already received all the advice you need.

I'm fairly suspicious that your local authorities would take it seriously, if there is an actual crime being committed.

Good luck out there.
