SMOKELESS MUZZLELOADER REBUILD

Looking for advice on where to buy a smokeless muzzleloader. Please advise

Arrowhead, Hankins are two of the biggies. Arrowhead routinely has pre built rifles in stock. I don’t know if Hankins has pre builds ready to go but wouldn’t be surprised if they do. Lots of gunsmiths do them with Arrowhead and Hankins parts. Many dedicated muzzleloader actions out there to choose from now.

Gunwerks if you’ve got extra $$$ to spend.

Local guy makes barrels to match your receiver. I had them do one for a H&R. Tack driver and known shooters. They also make barrels for T/C. If interested, PM. Small gun smith machine shop. Used to be big in the smokeless business, but his partner passed not to long ago. Google SMI Dan Dewitt.

Really depends on your budget and expectations for what shots you plan to take. Full custom is great, but honestly you do no need them for a 300yd capable setup. I picked up a CVA Scout conversion and it is shockingly accurate with everything I have put through it. I have two setups right now 275gr fury star tips sized to the bore over 4198 are pushed to 2600fps and are insanely devastating on deer (too much damage almost). I have shot around 5 or 6 deer with that setup and then went to using sabot 225gr 40 cal fury star tips for a reduced recoil load. I am pushing them around 2550fps and for the timber or inside 250fps it is a hammer. Shot two buck with that this season and it did superb, just know that a lot of the muzzy bullets are "soft" and with much higher velocities they tend to explode and lack pass through penetration sometime. I prefer to have 2 holes to track through the timber but there are plenty of choices out there.

Bought an Arrowhead from Luke years ago. Been super happy with the rifle and customer service from them over the years. Absolute tack driver, complete system. Highly recommend. Downside, not exactly a budget option these days.

Really depends on what you want to do with it.

If going SML a Used T/C Omega with a custom Barrel & Breech Plug made specific for use together from Woodman Arms.(budget wise) But if you have some $ and an Omega Action then Bestill Creations is another custom built (Omega) SML option. Or a Woodman Arms G3 platform would be another good choice. (from what I have heard)

You can buy the savage and remage barrels for your Remington or savage action and put one together yourself. Arrowhead sales them. 300wm energy at the muzzle with bh209 and will outshoot most rifles at 100yds.
