Glad I came across this thread, I have a mini bantam that I bought for the kids years ago and it's already too short for my 11yo. Think I'm going to order that adjustable stock and turn it into a turkey gun!

Think you/she are going to love it. Get your TSS from Rogers sporting goods, definitely the best deal I’ve found and makes it a little more affordable haha.I just bought the Stevens 410 today myself. Looks like a great choice for my daughter and sure beats the price on the Mossberg mini bantam. I may spend a bit more and put a red dot on it. I don’t know right now. I’ve been throwing a ton of money at my wife’s car fixing every little thing it seems like and now the water pump is shot. Her car is a beast to work on and I cuss the dang engineers that designed it!

The meadow creek rib mount is the way to go. I'll never mount one on the receiver again. It allows way better field of view, and the red dot controls are right by your hand if you need to adjust. If only Mossberg made the 510 Mini in 28 gauge with the integral red dot mount on the receiver. That would be a handy little gobbler getter.
Interesting. I didn't know about this company. While we can argue about the "field of view" differences of red dot placement, I never considered the advantages of having the controls by your support hand. It is slightly higher then an optic tapped directly to the receiver, as it has a mounting plate. The benefit over the S2 is the cost and will take nearly any optic. Sits lower then a optic attached to a picatinny rail like majority of turkey guns have. The Mossberg RMSc optic cut is sweetInteresting. I didn't know about this company. I've used Aimpoint S1 and S2 on the rib, and they sit low, but this Meadow Creek mount looks like it sits high. In my mind, the ultimate place for a red dot on a turkey or predator shotgun is low and on the receiver like the new Mossbergs with an optic cut.
I like the idea of a single shot for the weight, but there have been enough times that I needed a follow up round right away that I prefer a pump. Or the new Eventide over/under would be pretty sweet too.View attachment 876841I love mine. Short, light and patterns great. And the trigger has gotten a bit better w time? Haha
Now, the this finish is comically bad, the slights bit of moisture make it break out in hives, oil is your friend.
Seriously, it’s a slick little turkey slayer if you like to put miles down during season.
Gotcha. I keep a shell handy, sooooI like the idea of a single shot for the weight, but there have been enough times that I needed a follow up round right away that I prefer a pump. Or the new Eventide over/under would be pretty sweet too.
