Small item organization

Im running a SG sky telus 6900 pack and wondering what other guys are using to keep small items together in their packs. Without buying the SG swing out and camp pockets, im looking for cheaper light weight options. Thanks in advance

Trying out these pullouts from granite gear. Bought them a few months ago to do what you're describing and they work fine. Seem durable enough to last more than a few seasons and water resistant (my shotgun chokes got soaked when I stored them in one of these bags during a downpour but that's not surprising) + lightweight. Relatively cheap too. But they are small, the XL is packed to the brim with my small clothing items like gloves, beanies, balaclava, etc.

Pouches can be had at any price point.
I use some from Granite Gear as mentioned. I have some from wal mart that are mesh medication pouches for a few bucks. Look at traditional outdoor shops, most have a pack organization tab.
I do like those Kifaru multi pocket pouches.

Little zippered pouches of all sizes work nicely. I also save heavier zip loc bags that items are packed in for shipping and reuse those. They don't last a long, but are extremely lightweight and free, and you can easily see what's inside. Great for some items that won't poke holes in them.

I get mesh bags of different types and sizes. I like to see what's in them. Small, white laundry bags work well and they come in draw string and zippered versions.

Don't laugh, but zip locks do work very well and along those lines, you can get more durable ones by using the heavier plastic zip-type bags that kids use for school supplies like pencils, erasers, rubber bands, etc.

Freezer bags work, you can see through them too so you can see what’s in the bags.

Zip lock freezer bags as tinhorn suggests. The swing outs and camp pockets are very good also as are kifaru's pockets. These SG/Kifaru and other pockets will last a lifetime so it is actually not a very expensive proposition.

More votes for gallon and quart size ziplocs. Cheap, disposable, waterproof, see through.

There is an accessory thread here somewhere that is worth checking out. Somebody posted about inexpensive storage bags and packets that are available on Amazon. I have like over a dozen of them about to arrive tomorrow. I think I spent 20 bucks for all of them. I plan to sew in some half inch webbing to them so I can attach them to the inside strap adjusters of my pack.

I have the R3 5900 so I may even set them up so I can attach them to the molle straps in the bag.

I wish I could remember who posted it because I owe them a big thank you! It was a great idea.

Just got in some of the mountain ridge gear bags and am very impressed! Will try to put a good review up in a day or two.

If you have the time and the desire, you can easily make Dyneema stuff sacs to any size that you want. No sewing skills required, all seams are taped.

The SG camp pockets can be chained. I have 3 chained in my 6300, no way I will loose one and they weigh nothing/hold a decent amount. I know exactly where they are also. The swing outs can be doubled on one tab.

They just showed up. They are perfect. The large ones already had the correct strap. It was sewed in as a loop so i just cut one end. The small ones with have nothing. I will have to sew on the strap.
